Some thoughts about 'XII

The image “http://tbn2.google.com/images?q=tbn:9dR-iIdjIM8t8M:http://www.successfulparenting.com/Images/wxii12.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Last month, we witnessed a departure that was way too early.

And while I'm not the biggest sports nut in the world, you have to admit Goren was a nightly fixture, who knew sports, locally and nationally. His departure was way too soon, and coupled with other changes going on at our NBC affiliate, I'm not so sure if NBC-12 is heading in the right direction with its news product.

I'm embarrassed for the real anchors at Wxii 12 when this clown is on. It seems she just wants to be in front of the camera. I cannot understand her and she laughs at traffic accidents. I think the station thinks she's their new gimmick that will work but I think it drives viewers away. I can hardly stand to watch.

Dave Goren is a great guy and an excellent sports reporter. Hope he lands on his feet.

the 12 morning show is a joke, with that female wannabee comic/traffic reporter.....she is not funny, and shouldnt be.....get rid of her, and bring back Goren at double salary....he was the best thing going at that station all these years..

I am not surprised by the comments. While Dave was a great sports reporter, in this economy, television stations also have bottom lines, and the longer you have been there, the higher risk you are. As far as the morning traffic reporter is concerned, she is part time, and the cost is insignificant compared to what Goren was taking home. Folks, it is this simple, produce more with less, and if they can hire some college kid out of college to produce it with as little talent as possible, they will. I don't expect the average viewer to understand this, but working in television for 11 years, this is not uncommon.
