The Business Journal reports that radio conglomerate Clear Channel will axe about 7% of its work force, or about 1,500 jobs nationwide, in an effort to cut costs. Word out on the street is that ad revenues are down...way down.Locally, Clear Channel owns WCBT-FM (94.5), WMAG-FM (99.5), WMKS-FM (105.7), WTQR-FM (104), WVBZ-FM (100.3). It is uncertain as to how the cuts will affect these Triad-area stations.
E.C. :)
