Ed Cone had this yesterday...the features desks for both the News & Observer of Raleigh and the Charlotte Observer will merge as one, similar to the papers' newly-merged sports desk. Can it be too far off that we will see just one huge mega-McClatchy paper operating in the state?E.C. :)
